Pinpoint Laser for accurate starts, corners and joins
The BERNINA Pinpoint Laser projects the needle entry position onto the fabric. This gives you a clear reference when aligning patchwork intersections, stopping at a marked point, approaching a corner or positioning decorative topstitching.
Unlike a fixed seam guide, the laser follows the selected needle position. It can therefore assist with centre-needle sewing as well as work completed with the needle shifted to the left or right. When the optional embroidery module is fitted, the laser can also be used with the machine’s embroidery placement functions.
Automatic threading and everyday convenience
Press the threading control and the machine guides the thread through the needle, reducing repetitive manual threading when changing colours or moving between construction, decorative stitching and quilting. BERNINA specifies automatic threading for needle sizes NM 70–120, so needle and thread selection should still be matched to the fabric and technique.
Additional conveniences include an automatic upper and lower thread cutter, automatic presser-foot lift, adjustable presser-foot pressure, upper and lower thread monitoring, programmable foot control and a separate bobbin-winding motor that allows bobbin winding while sewing or embroidering.
Built for patchwork and free-motion quilting
The BERNINA 770 QE PRO includes 76 quilting stitches and the BERNINA Stitch Regulator Foot #42. The BSR monitors fabric movement during free-motion work and adjusts sewing speed to help maintain a selected stitch length, even as your hands change pace.
Three BSR modes
- BSR Mode 1:Â responds to fabric movement while maintaining regulated stitches.
- BSR Mode 2:Â stitches while the fabric is moving, making it useful for free-motion techniques where you want the machine to pause with your hands.
- BSR Mode 3:Â creates long regulated basting stitches at 2 or 4 stitches per inch.
KickStart adds another comfort option for longer quilting sessions. Once activated, you can control continuous sewing without maintaining pressure on the foot pedal, leaving both hands available to guide and support the quilt.
Integrated BERNINA Dual Feed
BERNINA Dual Feed provides additional fabric feeding from above when used with compatible D presser feet. It is particularly useful when matching checks and stripes, sewing slippery fabrics, topstitching, attaching quilt binding or guiding layered sections that may otherwise shift.
The Dual Feed mechanism can be engaged only when needed and moved out of the way for normal sewing or free-motion work. The included Reverse Pattern Foot #1D and Zipper Foot #4D are designed to take advantage of this integrated system.

Optional embroidery capability
The base BERNINA 770 QE PRO does not include an embroidery module or embroidery hoops. To embroider, add the compatible BERNINA Embroidery Module L with Smart Drive Technology. Confirm the exact module package and included hoops with Two Petals before ordering.
Once the module is fitted, the machine supports an embroidery field of up to 400 × 210 mm and embroidery speeds of up to 1,000 stitches per minute. It includes 400 embroidery designs, 10 embroidery alphabets and 100 customisable BQM quilt designs.

Accessory and hoop compatibility
The BERNINA 770 QE PRO uses the BERNINA full-shank presser-foot system. Because it is a 9 mm machine with integrated Dual Feed, select accessories must match the correct BERNINA machine category and, where relevant, be supplied as a C or D version. A presser foot that fits another BERNINA model is not automatically the ideal version for the 770 QE PRO.
With the optional Embroidery Module L, the machine is listed as compatible with a wide range of BERNINA hoops, including the Maxi, Jumbo, Mega and Midi hoops, selected clamp hoops and compatible freearm hoops. Both provide a 254 mm workspace and PRO-generation technology. The 770 QE PRO offers a 9 mm stitch width, integrated Dual Feed and the BSR foot as standard. Frequently asked questions
Does the BERNINA 770 QE PRO include the embroidery module?
No. The standard 770 QE PRO is supplied as a sewing and quilting machine. The compatible Embroidery Module L with Smart Drive Technology is an optional purchase. Embroidery hoops are not included with the base machine.
Can the BERNINA 770 QE PRO embroider?
Yes. Add the compatible Embroidery Module L to activate the machine’s embroidery functions, including a maximum 400 × 210 mm field, built-in embroidery designs, customisable BQM quilt designs and advanced placement tools.
Can I use the BQM quilt designs without an embroidery module?

Does WiFi operate the sewing machine remotely?
No. The published WiFi functions are centred on embroidery workflows, including compatible design transfer with BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 and status monitoring through the BERNINA Stitchout App. The app does not replace the operator when the machine requires threading, colour changes or other direct attention.
What warranty applies in Australia?
