Once the quilt is washed, the fusing medium dissolves, leaving the batting as soft and flexible as traditional Hobbs Heirloom batting. Ideal for machine quilting, it offers versatility in loft appearance, depending on the spacing of your quilting stitches. Closer quilting results in a flat, low-loft look, while wider spacing yields a slightly higher loft.
For optimal results, quilting or stitching should be every 4 inches or closer, with an expected shrinkage of 3-5% upon laundering.
